sugarloaf inn
the original lodge on maine’s most iconic mountain
Sugarloaf Inn is the original 1962 on-mountain lodge at Sugarloaf, the oldest building at Maine’s most iconic ski resort. The project covered brand identity, web design, copywriting, and SEO, built around giving a piece of New England ski history a digital presence worthy of its story. A highlight of the build is a historic imagery timeline I tracked down and assembled, drawing from a collection of vintage postcards from as early as 1951. Each one is a window into Sugarloaf through the years. The result is a site that doesn’t just sell rooms. It earns its place in the Sugarloaf story.

At 4,237 feet tall, Sugarloaf is Maine’s second-highest peak, surpassed only by Katahdin. Its 1,360 skiable acres make it the largest ski area east of the Rockies.
But what makes Sugarloaf truly special is its community. Sugarloafers are passionate, spirited, and deeply connected to the mountain. We can’t wait to share that sense of belonging with you.

A Sugarloaf Icon Since 1962
The Sugarloaf Inn is part of the mountain’s rich history. The first trail at Sugarloaf was cut in 1951, and 11 years later, the Sugarloaf Inn became the original on-mountain ski lodge. Six decades later, we’re still committed to creating memorable slopeside stays.
